Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, provide a better user experience, and supply information to site operators.

2. How We Use Cookies

Niibow Tech Limited uses cookies and similar technologies on our Platform for the following purposes:

  • Essential cookies: Required for the Platform to function properly, including authentication, session management, and security.
  • Preference cookies: Remember your settings and preferences, such as your location, language, and filter choices.
  • Analytics cookies: Help us understand how visitors interact with the Platform so we can improve our services. These may include third-party analytics tools.
  • Functional cookies: Enable enhanced features such as saved favourites, recent searches, and personalised restaurant recommendations.

3. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on our Platform are placed by third-party services, including Google Maps (for restaurant location display and address autocomplete) and analytics providers. These third parties have their own privacy and cookie policies, which we encourage you to review.

For product analytics we use PostHog, hosted in the European Union. It sets a cookie and uses local storage to recognise your browser between visits, so we can see which pages and features people use and where they get stuck. In short:

  • What it records: pages you visit, buttons and links you click, and actions such as searching, saving a restaurant or starting a booking. It also records the type of browser and device you use.
  • Session recordings: we may record how a visit moves through the site so we can fix confusing screens. Everything you type into a form is hidden in these recordings, and so are your name, email address and phone number where they appear on screen.
  • When you are signed in: your visits are linked to your account by an internal number only. We do not send your name, email address or phone number to PostHog.
  • Do Not Track: if your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, PostHog is not loaded at all.

4. Local Storage

In addition to cookies, we use browser local storage to persist certain data such as your authentication state, filter preferences, and cached miscellaneous data (cuisines, moods, ambiences). This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless required for Platform functionality.

5. Managing Cookies

You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. However, disabling essential cookies may affect the functionality of the Platform, including your ability to log in or make reservations.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised date.

7. Contact Us
